Ulverston Pride: The Lineup

The second annual Ulverston Pride is finally upon us, and while we previously gave you a little information to prepare for it, let's fill in the details now that it's just a few days away.

The Festival will run Saturday, 5th July with a jam-packed lineup of entertainment throughout the day. Here's the full main stage schedule:


  • 10:00 Town Reps

  • 10:30 Drag Artist - Alice

  • 11:00 Sandside Lodge School

  • 11:30 Lightburn Theatre

  • 12:00 Josh James

  • 13:00 Ulverston Amateur Operatic Society

  • 13:30 Kristal Kweer

  • 14:00 Boy George Tribute from Liam Halewood

  • 15:00 Abba Sing a Long

  • 15:30 Shirley Knot

  • 16:00 Becki Fishwick


The Sun Inn will be hosting the Ulverston Pride Festival after party from 17:00 until 02:30 am, with guest hosts Miss Patty Daleand Shirley Knott.


Looking to entertain the whole family? This year, Ulverston Pride has you covered at The Coro! There will be four story time sessions, all age appropriate and recommended for ages 3-8. The Story Time schedule:


  • 09:30 Wild Geese Poetry reading The Owl and the Pussycat

  • 10:30 Shirley Knott reading Hips of a Drag Queen

  • 11:30 Alice reading The Night Before Pride

  • 12:30 Debbie Haines reading A Tale About Individuality


And why not start your day with some crafts? Coro Craft Club will be running a special Pride themed craft morning from 9:30 in The Coro main hall. Craft Club is free to attend, but donations for future supplies are always welcome.


Can't wait until Saturday to start the festivities? The Roxy is hosting "Pre Pride Pictures" for the second year in a row, featuring The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. This will play on Thursday, 3rd July with doors opening at 19:30 (this film is aged 15).
