Ulverston Sports and Recreation Club Needs Your Help

Ulverston Sports and Recreation Association, a not for profit organisation, is looking for the public's help to redevelop the club changing rooms. They've started a GoFundMe which you can view here to make a donation or share.

The club wants to redevelop the existing changing rooms to bring them up to date, including making it a suitable and welcoming environment for women with the rise of female participation.

Originally constructed in the 1970's, almost entirely from community assistance, the sports club has seen some renovations and improvements over the years - but not with the changing rooms. New plans drawn up by a local architect would provide for four changing rooms, each with showers and toilets, suitable for players of all genders and ages.

While they're also applying for grants to cover the bulk of the costs, Ulverston Sports and Recreation hope to raise at least £5000 from the general public.
